      We’ve read loads of guides on the both destinations, but are none the wiser.

      Where would you recommend a couple in their late 30s and a 2 year old daughter should live, Paphos or Larnaca?

        Tough choice.

        Compared to Larnaca, Paphos has more ancient wonders and I guess bigger hotels and high on most vistor lists. Great beaches. And a true tourist destination.

        Larnaca is more concentrated in one areas than Paphos. Less touristy. If you are looking to settle in a quieter area for your family, I would go for Larnaca.
