For UK citizens like me, ie non-resident property buyers in Portugal these are the one’s I’m aware of.
- Transfer tax and stamp duty
- Annual ‘wealth tax’ if the property is valued over €600,000
- Possibly capital gains tax in both the UK and Portugal
- Inheritance taxes
