Hello,
I’m buying an apartment in Alicante and was horrified by the bank charges and their rates when I asked about sending money to Spain. Can anyone advise me on the best way to send money to Spain?Cheers

The best way to send or receive money from Spain is by using a currency transfer specialist.
You seem to get better exchange rates than from you high street bank and they can fix an exchange rate for when you complete the sale. So no nasty surprises due to exchange rate changes.
I thought it was going to be really complicated. First time round, I was so apprehensive. A serious chunk of my life savings were at stake. I needn’t have worried. They walked me through the whole process. They made sure the money was in the right place at the right time.
Now living in Spain, I use them for my pension transfers.

Great, but who did you use?

I use Hawk FX – International Money Transfer Experts.
Make sure you get your account setup as early as possible. Don’t leave it until the last minute when you are about to sign the agreement for your property.
