We’ve pulled the trigger and started the process for moving to Cyprus. We’ve been advised by fellow expats to take out private healthcare as occasionally there can be long waitlists when using Cyprus’s national healthcare service
Not sure where to start e.g. should I take out international medical cover or local medical cover?
Any advice much appreciated.

Generally, it expats are recommended to take out health insurance. Although, some do opt for public healthcare as it is free to expats who become permanent residents. It depends on your own health situation. If you have a pre-existing condition, you might want to ensure the best care.
Healthcare is Cyprus is of a very high standard, and generally inexpensive. The main cities have both government and private hospitals.
I hope this helps.
