Hi All,
My wife and I are right at the beginning of looking to buy a property overseas.
One of the pieces of advice I’ve seen was about working out your budget at the beginning.
At the moment we have a number of places in different countries in mind. What are the additional costs on top of the property costs that we should keep in mind?
Cheers
Johns

The buying costs vary considerably by country and even areas within a country – local fees and taxes, legal fees, agent fees, registration and/or notaire charges are just some of the common costs.
As a rough guide if you budget for around 15% of the purchase price you should be ok.
I hope this helps.

If you are going for goldern visa / residency visa through investment, help arranging finance, power of attorney and other services the costs go up.
