It is a lively market town that offers plenty of services such as banks, post office, schools, shops and supermarkets. Once a week there is an open market, one of the largest in the area. The town also offers plenty of things to see and do from the Fortezza di Mont’Alfonso and the Rocca Ariostesco to various restaurants, a cinema and a theatre.
Lucca is less than 1hr 30 away by car and offers restaurants, museums, and other interesting attractions such as taking a bike ride on the Roman walls which surround the city.
Pisa airport is only 110 km away (1hr 40) and the beaches of the Versilian coast are 95 km away (1hr 30) (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi).
