Cyprus has many busy beach resorts with great beaches, but if you are looking for a more peaceful coastal village, here are our top choices.
Pissouri
Many years ago, Pissouri village, located on the hill, had a fishing jetty a few kilometres down the hill, known as Pissouri jetty. The two areas are now split into two distinct communities, Pissouri village and Pissouri Beach. Pissouri has retained its Cypriot character and is still a village of working farmers. The 1,100 residents of the Pissouri area, half of whom are Cypriots, the rest foreign, mainly British, enjoy Pissouri’s rural charm.

Pervolia
Pervolia is a picturesque Cypriot village located about 15km from Larnaca and 10km from the International Airport. The village has under 2,000 residents enjoying its famous 4km-long un-spoilt beach and peaceful village life, even during the high season. There are several Unesco world heritage sites nearby.

Pomos
The seaside village of Pomos is a beautiful village located in northwest Cyprus. Although it is quite a remote village, Pomos village hosts several cultural events and festivities. Pomos village is home to a charming fishing harbour, where you can get a taste of real Cyprus. And, of course, enjoy the catch of the day in the local Tavernas. The Kanalli beach sits beside the harbour and is a shingle beach. However, a short drive will take you to the sandy beaches of Paradise Beach and Pachiammos beach.
